“Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it.” – Dennis P. Kimbro

People seek help because they want to make sense of their life experiences, find better ways of coping, and move on with their lives. They want to improve their relationships with themselves and others. They want to find their authentic self and understand what is happening inside them- what they desire and live for. This journey of self-discovery can be scary and overwhelming; however, you don’t have to take this journey alone. Allow me to walk alongside you.

I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I previously attended Peter Symonds College in the United Kingdom to obtain my Bachelor of Arts in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling, and I also obtained a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from Bournemouth and Poole College in the United Kingdom.

I have over 12 years of experience in the field of addiction and mental health. I also volunteered at Dorset Action on Abuse, where I worked with survivors of child abuse. I have experience as a counsellor working within a variety of settings, including private practice, homeless organizations, and community addiction services in Canada and abroad. Currently, I work at Peel Addiction Assessment and Referral Centre as an addiction counsellor.

I am an integrative counsellor, and I use a range of therapeutic approaches, which allows me to tailor therapy to clients and their individual needs as what might work for one person may not necessarily work for another.

I am currently affiliated as a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
