BSc, PGCE, MSc (Psych), MACP, Registered Psychotherapist (Q)

Ilana brings warmth, insight, and over 17 years of experience in education and leadership to her clinical work. She is passionate about supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or struggling with anger, stress, and emotional regulation.
With a background as a teacher and whole school principal, Ilana has extensive experience supporting adolescents, adults, and families through emotional challenges, conflict, and life transitions.

She also has previous counselling experience in community and faith-based settings, where she has developed a strong foundation in empathy, active listening, and client-centered support.
Ilana is particularly interested in anger management, anxiety, trauma, and helping clients build healthier coping strategies. Her work focuses on helping clients understand the roots of their emotional responses, identify triggers, and develop practical tools for long-term change.

Ilana believes that anger is often a signal of deeper unmet needs or unprocessed experiences. She works collaboratively with clients to build emotional awareness, strengthen communication skills, and create safer, more constructive ways of responding to life’s stressors.

She is committed to creating a respectful, non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward.
