BA, MACP, Registered Psychotherapist (Q)

Roohi Shory is a Registered Psychotherapist (Q) who works primarily with children and parents, offering counselling and skill-based support focused on emotional regulation, behaviour management, and everyday challenges. Her approach is client-centred, collaborative, and strengths-based, with an emphasis on practical strategies that support growth, confidence, and improved functioning at home and in daily life.

Roohi has supported children, youth, and adults through her work as an ABA therapist, respite worker, and counsellor-in-training, helping individuals navigate challenges related to anxiety, autism, developmental disabilities, and life stressors. She also brings a strong multicultural perspective, shaped by both personal and professional experiences, allowing her to offer care that is sensitive to diverse backgrounds and identities.

In addition to her clinical training, Roohi has extensive experience building trusting relationships in both therapeutic and professional settings, where active listening, empathy, and collaboration were at the forefront of her work. She is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered to explore their stories, develop coping strategies, and move toward meaningful change. Her professional interests include anxiety, stress management, life transitions, cultural identity, and the integration of cognitive-behavioural and psychodynamic approaches in therapy.
